Setting the Scene
At the OPERA and Panther Industries office building in San Marcos, Texas, security is put on high alert when six unescorted, massive strangers approach the building. Led by a giant of a man, they reveal themselves to be Komodo dragon shifters seeking asylum. 
Key Plot Developments
The Komodo Dragons Arrive: The group—consisting of Acawarman (Warman), Eyo, Kartodirdjo (Dirdjo), Sopan, Novi, and Inggit—explain that they fled Indonesia because their kind is heavily poached, illegally hunted, and facing extinction. Furthermore, the females are about to lay eggs and need a safe place to build their underground nests. 
Eddie’s Insight: Four-year-old genius Eddie (Edris Davenport-Davis-Stryker) uses her mysterious prescient abilities to guide the royals (Roman Davenport, Gage Stryker, and Ari Davis) to an abandoned, dilapidated two-story house deep on the estate's property. The dragons inspect it and agree it is the perfect sanctuary, and Ari immediately hires contractors to completely renovate it. 
Eddie Starts University: Despite being only four years old, Eddie's astonishing IQ of 322 earns her acceptance into business classes at the university. Accompanied by her nanny-slash-tutor Phoebe and her personal guard Warman (who handles any campus creeps with ease), Eddie attends lectures and even steps up to guest-teach a class using her mother Ari's legendary forensic accounting case studies. Meanwhile, Greg Sarantopoulos arranges to document Eddie's unprecedented intellectual development. 
A Local Tragedy: Tension rises in the normally quiet community when a kind local vegetable farmer, Burke Dudley, is deliberately run down in a hit-and-run by a pickup truck. While local deputies treat it as a drunk-driving accident, the shifter community senses something far more malicious. Panther Security operatives—including Sherm and Lonnie—launch an investigation, eventually tracking down a vengeful local vendor named Ashitook Manville who had clashed with the Dudleys over business rivalry. 
Expanding the Shifter Family & Hidden Pasts: As the dragon house nears completion and Novi and Inggit successfully dig their nesting tunnels, more shifters prepare to arrive. Meanwhile, Kenneth Porter (Ari’s father) uncovers old paperwork revealing that Ari’s long-absent mother owned considerable property, land, and even a village in Ireland, setting the stage for future revelations. 
Climax & Resolution
With Panther Security closing in on the rogue vendor responsible for the hit-and-run, the community rallies to ensure justice is served locally. The estate continues to grow as a safe haven for displaced shifters from around the world, and Eddie continues to balance her extraordinary academic life with being a normal, playful little girl surrounded by a fiercely protective family.
