US Government agents read it. They take Al Jordan into custody to grill him about the portal at Coronado Beach in California.

While Al sticks to the story that the book is make-believe out of his wild imagination, the agents aren’t buying it—they know all about Greg Claymore. They send the army, a team of scientists and physicists to the beach.

Unfortunately, the government agents, scientists and physicists open a portal, but not to Thol. An alien race breaks through the portal. The government implores Al to contact D’laine for help.
